Weather, work and kiddo have prevented me from cutting my grass for about a week. But the weekend is finally here, and I had plans to mow the grass this evening. However, this afternoon, before I had a chance to do it myself, the neighbor cut my grass for me.
Or should I say scalped my grass. He cut it at about 1-1.5 inches (I try to stay around 3-4, it shades itself that way, stays greener, won’t scorch) and didn’t bag it, so now I have piles of dying grass to contend with.
Does it make me a jerk that I’m looking this gift horse in the mouth? Or do I have a right to be mad that this guy has potentially seriously botched my yard?
I spent quite a bit of time and money getting my lawn to take hold. It wasn’t the nicest looking lawn on the block, but it wasn’t all patchy and full of holes. Now I’m going to have to water several times a day just to keep it from dying here in the first week of June.
Should I just let this go, or should I call Judge Judy?
